Cyrus Borton (8th Grade Football)
Coach Stubbs’ comments: “Cyrus has really locked in and had an outstanding start to the year. He has elevated his game from last season and quickly become a key piece of our team’s success. In the recent game against Franklin, Cyrus came up big with a huge performance, highlighted by a crucial interception in the end zone and a clutch touchdown reception. His playmaking ability on both sides of the ball helped swing the momentum and showed the type of impact player he has become. The following week against Carlisle, Cyrus delivered again—this time sparking his team with a key fumble recovery that helped shift the energy of the game. His consistency, effort, and ability to rise to the moment make him a true difference-maker. What has stood out most this year is the way Cyrus has matured. He has grown not only as a player—becoming more disciplined, focused, and confident in his abilities—but also as a young man. He has taken on more responsibility, learned how to lead, and set a strong example for his teammates with the way he carries himself on and off the field. Cyrus is not only an outstanding athlete but also a great teammate and person. His growth, determination, and impact make him a valuable member of our team.”
